Josephina frowned at Louisa's stubborn complaints about not wearing it. Did she really have so little faith in them that they would make them wear something that would cause growths. She flashed a brief flicker to Eddie when he encouraged her to wear it, stating the obvious that it would not harm them. Truth. They were professors, not dark artists trying to manipulate the student's brains. "I wouldn't have you wear something that wasn't safe," she reiterated, before moving onto the next point of interest.
"But had you been standing within a foot, you would have been alright..." Fina responded. "Yet, your friend," she inclined her head to Paulie, "had leaned into you. I may not be your peer, but I'm foolish enough to consider that the look he gave you wasn't an accident." Though they may have just been playing around, but she wasn't entirely sure that would have been appropriate either.
... "So in detention today, there are two tasks for you... The first," she inclined her head toward the slimey green wall, with spiders crawling in the cracks... "Wash that wall. Using nothing but hard work and perseverance." Two values that if they learned nothing else at Hogwarts, she hoped the students would learn that. Being the nice professor she was, she materialized two pairs of rubber gloves for each of them, along with a single bucket of soapy water. They'd have to share. But obviously, not get too close.
