5. Water the fire seed with boiling water, without drowning it.
Silvia retrieved a watering can and returned to her pot. She had never performed the aguamenti charm, but she had read about it and had seen her mother perform it on a few occasions. So she looked around her and took a moment to watch as a few older students performed the spell to make sure she knew what to do and how to pronounce it. It seemed like a simple enough charm. Silvia pointed her wand at the watering can, concentrated, and said "Aguamenti!" It worked! That wasn't too hard, she thought.
"Chaundensis," she said, rotating her wrist. Within moments the water began to bubble slowly, and after a minute it was at a steady boil. She tipped the watering can over the pot and let the water fall in a slow drizzle. That should be enough, she thought after a moment as she set down the watering can.
