D: Yeahhh, Mr White! Yeah science! Eh? Wot? Eh?
Tom had been off in his own little world sitting there doodling away and thinking about something totally unrelated to Transfiguration. He wanted to learn, but just found himself drifting into daydream land as soon as things got even just a little bit complicated; doodling instead of making notes which would be illegible and unreadable when he went back to look at them later so he saw very little point. Who cared about theory anyway? Lets get to the magic already!
He looked up as there was movement around him and realised they'd got to the practical part. His cheek found it's way between his teeth and he looked around anxiously to see what everyone else was up to. He'd always been good at copying – a way of compensating for his dyslexia. It looked like they were turning parchment in photo frames? He looked back down at his parchment which was now covered in little drawings and he frowned deeply. 'Crud.'
He looked over at his friend Nessie with a slight panicked look in his eyes. Did it matter that his parchment was now covered in dragons and unicorns and other weird magical creatures he found fascinating now that he knew they were real and not stupid crazy muggle myth??
SCAB---Wot the 'ell woz she sayin'? Why were incantations so blaady 'ard to say?? Urgh... He scowled and looked away and back to his parchment, deciding it was better to look like he was actually doing something than looking lost. He picked up his wand. “S-scab—um... scab-UA-hab... um..” *sigh*
Hearing a commotion, he looked up again, his eyes widening when he saw Nessie abiut to be attacked by her parchment. He knew that fire spell--Lexi Denver had been a really good tutor... but another boy stepped in and saved her without the need for any pyrotechnics. Lewis wasn't it? The scared Hufflepuff boy from the lake.
He turned his attention back to his parchment, drawing his wand in a square shape and hoping for the best..
