And then...Kurumi could no longer see the screen because of the tears running down her cheeks. Simba yelling for help,
the lion tears, tugging on his father's ear trying to wake the fallen king up...it was all too much. That is, once she was able to forget the blatant rip off of the entire scene before. The bad guy over the good guy on a cliff and making him fall to his doom during a stampede...yeah, Kurumi had seen that before in Kimba the White Lion, only it had been the lion cub's evil aunt that had done it. It sort of took away from the charm and drama of the scene. The show she had grown up watching as a child had been made years and years before this movie. Grumbling a bit to hersefl as she remembered this, she stuffed some more popcorn in her mouth.
And then...there was something called Bowling for Buzzards on the screen, and Kurumi loosened her grip around her pillow. "
Selina...do you see what I see? The meerkat and the warthog?" Kurumi wasn't entirely sure about her inkling just yet, seeing as they had only just made their appearance on screen, but as they spoke with Simba about things, a few other things caught her attention, mostly the banter between the two animals.
Yep. That had confirmed things for Kurumi. "
I think we have finally made our screen debut," she laughed, returning her attention to her Junior Mint buttered popcorn. Of course, there was another song, but this one was very catchy and had Kurumi bouncing in her seat a bit, humming along as best she could since this was the first time she had ever heard this song before.
And then...her heart sort of stopped as Simba began to grow and grow until...
Kurumi leaned over and poked Selina. "
Ne ne, Selina, isn't Simba sort of...attractive, for a lion I mean." He was. Perhaps they had drawn him based on the person who voiced him? Kurumi had seen that done many times before, so perhaps this one was under the same sort of principle?
For most people in the world having their best friend sit on their lap and cry over an animated movie would be an odd occurrence. In a very weird way that was normal for the Gryffindor Prefect and Captain, this was not a concern. Yes, Kurumi was sitting in Selina's lap since she had been frightened their by the scar song, but Selina had been too moved by the movie to tell her friend to move and they were both tiny girls so they fit in the same chair very comfortably. Besides Selina needed someone to hug when Mufasa died, it was just too sad to even be... well it was just sad in general.
But when little Simba was all alone in the desert Selina suddenly stiffled her wet eyes, because she did not cry, and watching intently as Kurumi pointed out a new set of characters. Who in Merln's name was that? A warthog and a meerkat were an unlikely duo and an odd one at that. The warthog was cool and relaxed for the most part but was slightly dramatic and the meerkat was obviously the one who had a good grasp on things but like to do things slightly over the top. It sounded oddly familiar. But what could it be...? Hmmm....
Kurumi connected the dots for Selina as the warthog and his buddy bantered over silly things, things that seemed ridiculous to the average person but to them it was important information
like Bill. The meerkat and the pig were Selina and Kurumi. The redhead chuckled and said,
"Wait so which one am I?" Speaking of which... she was SO HUNGRY. So she picked up her candy and started to eat that again. After all she had quite a few boxes to get through.

"Simba is attractive?" Selina repeated,
"That's it. Off the lap. You are being judged so harshly right now..." Her eyes turned back to the screen to see pumba getting chased by the random lioness. RUN PUMBA RUN!!!!!
And then.... wait what???
