Just because she was kinda freaked out by the girl's words, Brookie slowly retreated her feet, taking them out of the water and resting them next to her. Her bright blue eyes couldn't help but drift back over to the water. What was she referring to? WAS THERE A MONSTER IN THE WATER? Just like there was a squid in the lake!? There couldn't be.. Right? It was a pond.. nothing could like.. eat her, right? Especially the ducks.

Instead of sitting there, Brookie stood up, slipping back into the flip flops she had brought along with her, eyes drifting back to the water every now and again. "Like what, though? I mean.. a squid lives in the lake but i don't think one could live in here too.." It was too small, wasn't it? Well.. for a GIANT squid, yes. But there was something that Brooke just wasn't getting, wasn't there?
