Another funny question. Another question... Max wondered why he had never pondered before; however, he drew a few quick conclusions and his hand was back up. "It's called, y'know, the Black Lake. Maybe because the color - it's dark and murky and scary in its depths. Or, maybe it's a more recent name? Maybe first years get frightened and black out when they see Mr. Henry on their boat ride to the school and it happens so often that they found it to be a fitting name!"
...But, due to Mr. Henry's kind nature, Max figured it was due to the the dark color of the lake. It WAS quite deep.
