His face fell into a frown as he averted his attention back to the lake in front of them.
Shifting slightly to get into a more comfortable seating position, Lewis started playing with a daisy in the grass next to him, not really expecting an answer from the girl. She probably wouldn't tell him to get lost - he wasn't distracting or anything - so assuming she was like most girls, she would probably just shrug or something. That was usually the reaction he got from other people in general. They didn't mind his presence per se but didn't exactly talk or interact with him in anyway either.
So consider him more than a little surprised when he got an answer after all. Not very enthusiastic or nice or anything but nonetheless an answer. Lewis glanced back at her with a small smile playing around his lips and his eyebrows slightly raised. "Thanks...I guess." Or something. Shaking his head a little, he then resumed to watch some of the ducks until all of a sudden he heard her speak to him again. Wow, he had thought she wanted peace and quiet for reading her book?
"Lewis. My name's Lewis." He replied with a nod, running a hand through his blonde hair absently, his gaze back on her face without actually meeting her gaze. "What's yours then?" He deserved as much, didn't he? After all, she knew his name too. Not that he had any clue as to what he was going to do with that information but it seemed like the right thing to do at the moment.
Sylia shifted on her rock, feeling the sweater underneath her start to fall to one side. Rocking her foot in the air, she lightly shook her head and opened the book back up to the bent page she had made. He obviously wasn't too talkative, an admiring trait that she hasn't seen so far in this school. It seemed everyone wanted to talk and trade stories the moment they meet. Annoying.
She plucked the pencil from behind her ear once more and turned the page. On to another angry rant, the writer was. A defeated sigh escaping her, her pencil darted across the page once more. Circle word here, underline sentence here. Doodle a pair of wings in the corner here. Had she really gotten this bored already? She hardly realized the boy said something until a minute after. Blinking, she looked up and over at him once more. She didn't quite catch what he said, but she didn't think it was crucial enough to ask him to reiterate it.
Oh. His name. Of course he would have said that, seeing as she had asked him. Where had her mind been?
"I see." If she had known him better she would say that name suits him. He looked like a Lewis. Lewis' weren't bouncing around hyper people. They were more calm and withdrawn or at least that was with her experience with others with that name. In the modeling world there are a handful of Marks, Alex's, Tim's and Lewis'. Very eccentric names for eccentric people.
"It's Sylia. Sylia Rose." Almost like she caught it like a cold, she ran a hand through her hair as well. She always felt strange when she introduced herself. Maybe it was because she didn't use her real last name but just her first and middle. The thought of someone here knowing her from her modeling career unsettled her, so no Sylia Rose Azelio will be said at this castle. Just Sylia Rose.
Please tell me he doesn't know my work.
