This news may or may not have come as a shock to Gideon, seeing as Selina was the only person Kurumi had told about her hanging up her Seeker's uniform, but better late than never, yeah? He would have figured things out come tryouts anyway.

"You aren't?" Ariella said in disbelief. She had suspected that Kurumi would have played Quidditch her whole Hogwarts career. "But you're amazing! We're going to miss you out there on the pitch." She shuffled her weight from foot-to-foot, not sure of what she should do or say next. Yes, there she was. Ariella...the Queen of Awkward Conversations. "But schoolwork is definitely more important," she added quickly. Where did that come from?! She didn't know what Kurumi's reasoning for not trying out this term was. It might not be schoolwork. Well, it could be, but it might not. Why did she always seem to make a fool of herself?
