She wished she had been introduced into it earlier, but with her father's death and her mother knowing so little about his magical history, Arina was left out of the Wizarding world. And now she felt more out of the loop than ever. She was scared to speak for fear of sounding stupid and unknowledgeable.
So she sat at her table, staring at her plate and wishing she could either simply disappear or magically gain the courage to say something to those around her-- or at least give the friendly smile she so longed to see.
Amethyst noticed a girl who looked, to her, saddened. We can't have that, now can we? She thought to herself. She walked over to the girl and smiled, sitting across from her. She held out her hand for the girl to shake. Amethyst used to be shy, but after all that had gone on over the summer, how could she be? "Hello, my name's Amethyst Geleto!"
