Astrid was letting out a weird purring noise. “Umm…” Daisy made a funny face at the chameleon-newt and then shook her head. Usually he didn’t take to people so well and by most people she meant her brothers, but then, who would blame Astrid? Her brother’s were nuts. “He shouldn’t,” she said shoving her socks down around her ankles and scratching lower on her calf. “Just don’t leave any licorice in your sheets and you should be good.”
There a hissing noise and Daisy knew that didn’t come from Astrid. It came from behind her. She turned in her chair and peered over the top at a younger girl sitting in a chair. “Excuse me,” she stated raising one eyebrow. “But did you just hiss?”
Why haven't she thought of those before? Of asking help from the portraits and not always relying on books? Of course it would be nicer to interview someone with a first hand experience rather than reading those published. So there's a reason for her not to eat anything on her bed unless she wants to wake up screaming in the morning because of Astrid. As she stared at the Chameleon-newt, which was bright red in color, she too noticed the hissing sound but thought it came from Astrid and so she didn't mind but her friend noticed a girl and asked her if she was the one hissing. She watched the girl

"You said you were bound to do that only in your head?" Tenn wondered. How? That was just curious. There certainly are a lot of unexpected people around.

Noticing one of her good friends from last term, Ariella grinned. "Rose!" she exclaimed, rushing over to give her a hug. "How are you?! How was your summer? I haven't talked to you in forever!"
Tennessee got distracted as another girl entered the common room. Good Merlin, was she the only one who had seemed to forgot the password. She snapped the thought of it out in her head. The girl who just entered run to give the girl who hissed a hug.
Rose! Obviously that is her name. Tennessee just smiled at the girl since she was engrossed with chatting to her friend. She went back to petting the chameleon-newt. She should just remember their names.

Tenn noticed another guy enter the room and joined them by the couches. She could barely remember them from last terms nevertheless she smiled at him and gave a small wave.
"Hoping for another great term?" Tenn asked him as he watched him relax on the couch. She sure is hoping for one.

Had Gideon thought of that phrase enough already? Well it was true and as he watched Kurumi being a dear mother-lion-prefect leading the new and transfured lions to their home away from home, he couldn't help but feel the year was already starting out just right. He followed the crowds at his own pace, a tall shadow above the somewhat shorter students that preceeded him.
Eventually he came to the familiar painting, smiling absently as the Fat Lady as she awaited each passerby to give her the password. Right...password...what was it this year? The fifth year pausing a moment before the frame to remember it.
"Angel's Trumpet"
In response, the Fat Lady nodded before the painting opened up allowing Gideon access into the Gryffindor common room. As he took his first steps inside the red and gold covered room, he looked around at the students already gathered there, their faces not too familiar to him despite some having been returning students.
Ugg... he still had work to do opening up to more people.
Then another Lion came up. Of course, who else would she expect to come, some Ravenclaws and Slytherins?
"Hello," Tennessee greeted.
"Welcome back to Hogwarts." She sure has a lot to learn this year aside from her classes, she needs to learn all their names and glue it inside her head.
