"Is the lighting here a bit too much for you?" she asked, waving her hand at the young man wearing sunglasses. "And didn't your mother ever tell you that tucking in your shirt is the appropriate thing to do in these situations? Not doing so makes one look like they should be standing on the street holding a cardboard sign." Her crystal blue eyes shifted to the young lady who was showing just a bit too much skin for the elder woman's taste. "We are at a Ministry function, not a school dance...even if the color is lovely on you, my dear."
Best to be harsh on the two before the Ministry himself said something, yes? Random people that he didn't know really shouldn't be allowed to approach him. "Maybe it is...maybe it isn't." What was it to her? Legend glanced at the lady. She looked like she might be important. But important or not she had no right to judge his awesome style.
Legend slowly pulled off the glasses so he could look straight at the women. "My mother died when I was a baby." He said with a big grin. "And between you and me,-" He leaned in and lowered his voice. "-if she had taught me a lesson about how important it was to tuck in my shirt, I'd be more considered over the fact that like...a zombie was speaking to me." True story, for real.
He looked at Neptune then to the lady. He thought she looked fine- no beautiful. He simply shook his head. The woman was wrong with what ever she was implying. "She looks lovely." He said stiffly.
Legend slipped the glasses back on. "I'll take what you said into consideration though." Not likely. "Thank you Miss..." Again, who were you? SPOILER!!: Legend!Protector Quote:

"I'm certain Gordic Gryffindor and every other notable Gryffindor after him tucked their shirts in." Neptune would look it up and tape the proof/pictures to the refrigerator she now shared with Legend Chosen. She'd SHOW him Gryffindors with shirts tucked in! And.... leave his shirt alone. For now.
Happily, she dashed along at his side to MINGLE with MINISTRY folk. "Hi! How do you do?" Neptune curtsied for Wes and Iz.
Neptune pressed her lips together. WELL THEN. It was one thing for Neptune to chide Legend about his shirttail, but it was quite another for some nosy Nanny to put her old nose where it didn't belong.
And he looked ADORABLE in his useless shades. Hmph. "He's an Auror .....in training," Neptune loyally informed Mrs. Thing. Her hand went to her hip as it jutted out. SHE should show some more respect for the MEN protecting her. DOUBLE HMPHs.
Neptune already KNEW they were at a Ministry function and not a school dance. "I'm aware, thank you. What a keen eye you have." "Gordic Gryffindor was probably the one who made tucking in shirts cool, and it was probably frowned upon then. And so I have to be a Gryffindor and make it uncool." He grinned. There you go Ravenclaw, some logic...maybe.
Legend's grin grew and he brought his finger to his lips. He didn't know the woman but she looked important! She could get him fired if she knew too much. SPOILER!!: Scary-cool boss Quote:

HOWEVER.... Legend? Was just scruffy.
"Lysander Jedidiah Hayden Shiloh Merric Chosen." Yeah thats right. "Tuck that shirt in and straighten that tie. You will NOT make a fool of MLE by looking like a scruff." Legend shot a smug look at the unknown lady as Evander joined them. Evander was cool so he KNEW stuff. See? Neptune was alright, not that he even believed she needed defending.
.....
His full name... "Uh." Legend just stared at his boss, in complete shock. "Uh...." He continued to stare, unblinking and not breathing, for a bit longer until finally his senses kicked in. "Urm-yes sir, sorry sir." He averted his gaze as he quickly rushed to tuck in his shirt. Good? Tie too? He hesitated before tightening the pink fabric around his neck.
Fine Evander. He'd listen to you.
But he was keeping the sunglasses.
