He laughed. "I hope he knows he'll have to deal with me if he ever upsets you." But Ellie seemed to trust Treyen. With the way she was watching him, it would be difficult for Max to disagree that she didn't actually like the guy. From all Max had heard about him, Treyen was a good guy, and Ellie was a good judge of character, wasn't she? Yeah, there was no reason for Max to have any negative feelings toward him. He was trying to give Treyen a fair chance.
But he still wanted to stay as far away from him as possible and never be around them when they're together.
Speaking of Hufflepuffs... "Kita graduated last year, right? Hufflepuff Seeker? They won't stand a chance against us this term. There's no way."
Nice topic change, Max.
That was cute. Laughing, Ellie turned back to Max,
"I'll warn him." Not really. But something about that sentence made her smile fade. She went back to chewing on her lip, full force, studying Max's face. Finally, she leaned in and lowered her voice,
"Did I ever tell you...about...about what happened?" Probably not. She hadn't told anyone but...she suddenly felt that Max should know, after what he'd just said.
Her smile returned as the subject changed to Quidditch, though smaller than it was before.
"She did," Ellie nodded.
"Depends who replaces her." Treyen was an awfully good Seeker. Though, if his captain took his opinion into consideration, he wouldn't play that position. Even though Ellie
needed to beat him still.
Yes,
needed.
