He really was curious as to who she hung out with because it wasn't like she made friends easily.

He excused himself as he pushed passed some people and he walked all the way down to the end of the train when he realized that there were NO more empty compartments. "Just my luck," he mumbled under his breath. Sighing, he turned back around and started heading up front
until he noticed a lonely redhead sitting in one of the compartments that was coming up on his left.

I told myself I was going to make new friends this year, he thought as he looked at the girl. He just had this little minature fear of meeting new people because of what happened in his past when he was made fun of about his size about his issues. About everything that involved him but, however, the girl looked nice so he was going to take his chances.

He slid the door open and asked, "Do you mind if I join you?"
Amelia jumped slightly when she heard the compartment door open and the male voice asking if he could come in. Amelia turned her head and eyed the boy. He didn't seem bad, and he hadn't sounded mean. And there weren't a lot of people with him. Which didn't mean much of anything really... He also looked familiar, although why she had no clue.

Finishing her appraisal Amelia slowly nodded, "Sure you can join me," she replied, her voice far less hesitant than her nodding had been. She needed to make friends here after all and having someone to sit with would surely make this train journey a whole lot less painful. At least she hoped so. But to make things less painful she should probably introduce herself. That would help to start a conversation, right?

"I'm Amelia by the way," she volunteered, giving a friendly smile at the same time, while eyeing the corridor warily. Hopefully not too many more people would want to come in. A few more would be okay, but not too many.
