"And...what broom would that be exactly? If it can do that it would surely be swift enough for Quidditch." Pfft like he'd ever do that sport. Flying around on a broom chasing balls...definitely not his idea of a sport. Needs full on contact. Like Rugby!
Hearing what she asked he shrugged and leaned back against the side of the car with his feet on the seat. "Not much to tell really. Born. Home schooled until my mum found out my tutor was teaching me dark arts stuff which I found totally cool so I don't know what her deal was. But I digress. So....I got sent here last term made some Dark Wizard mad in Knockturn Alley which was fun and term started and now I'm here. How about you?"
Harlow thought about it for a minute,
"Well a Firebolt or a Twigger. A Comet would do it as well. Basically any broom that quidditch players use would turn on a knut almost. But those brooms are expensive so I wouldn't recommend flying them at a wall. You might smash the broom." She told him. Or you could end up in a coma or as a babbling fool in St. Mungoes.
She looked at him,
"You think dark arts stuff is cool?" Harlow didn't think dark arts stuff was cool. She wanted to stay as far away from that stuff as she could.
"Why were you in Knockturn Alley?" Charles was sounding more and more like a person she didn't want to hang around with much longer. Or maybe he just thought toeing that line was a thrill or something. Harlow's brothers certainly like doing things they knew were wrong just for the thrill of it. Harlow preferred to stay out of trouble.
Harlow pursed her lips together as he spoke.
"Well I have to say my life is a bit more how should I say. Not exciting, but I guess I have a little more to my life than a few words." she told him.
"I was born in Syria during my cousins wedding. That's why my middle name is Syria. I've got seven brothers and sisters and my dad is the youngest of 13 kids. He has 12 sisters. I've had two children's books published and I want to be a famous author. When I was a baby I was a model for like nappies and bottles and things. I'm 12 year old and I grew a whole quater of an inch this summer. So I'm 4 foot and 1/4." That was her life in a very small nutshell.
