But he had figured that out himself too. Too late, but STILL.
He frowned, 'oh, just... You knoooow, wondering if your fearless Slytherin lot were scared when you went to Hogwarts the first time.' He nodded, surely there were some scared ones, you know, with older brothers and sisters scaring them.. 'Just curious.' He added in a chirpy voice.
Out of nowhere, Alyssa flew right into Aaron, causing him to almost fall over. This was bound to be weird, they hadn't really talked that much since they broke up. But they could still be friends, right? He only barely managed to stay up and keep Alyssa from making a faceplant, after which he gave her an awkward smile.
'Heeeeey, Lyssie..' He grinned, but saw her looking at. Oh dear. 'So... how's your summer been?' He attempted to distract her and step on the photo, but it was too late.
He stared as Lyssie yelled at him, he deserved this, but that didn't mean he enjoyed being yelled at in front of loads of people.
It was all his fault, it really was. But... Relationships were weeeeird. And stuff. 'She's not my- She's just.. a friend! Really.' Aaron tried, it sort of was true. Except most friends didn't... you know, kiss. 'I thought I'd thrown the photos awaaaay!' That was hardly an excuse, was it? It'd probably only make it worse. He tried flashing her a grin, that worked sometimes.
'Ouch woman!' That hurt. He laid a hand on his cheek and frowned. That wasn't necessary! >____<
'I'M SORRY LYSSIEEE!' He yelled after her, knowing that wouldn't help.
Still covering his cheek he turned to the Slytherin girl, flashing her an awkward grin.
'... Wellll... This is awkward.' He said and let out a weird chuckle.
Alyssa stopped running and slowed down to a halt. She was now not only upset but also embarrrassed because she did exactly the one thing she hadn't intended to do. One. Cause a scene. She did it in front of two of her class Professors!! Two, lose her temper, and Three, say that she never wanted to talk with Aaron again. Because SHE DID!! It didn't matter that they were no longer dating. Yeah it would have been nice if he had told her the truth back then in the summer. She still would have gotten mad, but she would have come around and they would still be friends. Now she had just made it worse by saying that she never wanted to talk with him again. How could she not do that? They were in the same House and she was bound to see him in classes and at the Quidditch games. Alyssa sighed and sat down on the nearest empty bench she could find. She bent down and put her head in her hands. What was she to do?
After a while she looked up and turned to where Aaron was still standing talking to an older girl. 'Should
I go up and apologize for slapping him? What will he say to me?'Alyssa thought to herself. After a couple moments of thought, she got up from the bench and walked back over to him.
"
Erm...Aaron. I'm sorry I slapped you. I overeacted. I know I said that I didn't want to talk with you again but I still do. I still consider you my friend, even though you may not want to be, after what I just did to you. Anyway, I hope that the girl makes you happy. Can we still be friends?" Alyssa said to Aaron, sticking out her hand.
