Kyle was pacing now, worried and scared. She had never felt this way before in her life. She knew that the least of his worries now not Minerva, but her little sister. She sniffed the air, catching his faint smell. She wasn't going to sound the alarm quite yet, she didn't want to attract company when they weren't even looking.

Amethyst looked down, knowing that he knew something was up. She didn't know exactly what to tell him, because she didn't know. She stopped in her tracks and looked up at him. She held his face in her hands as she looked straight in his eyes. "I'm not becoming distant because I want to..." Tears were streaming from her face. "We all need to prepare." She sniffled. "But we have no time." She kissed his lips deeply as more tears escaped her eyes.
