Practically bouncing into the station, Darwin's seemingly permanent grin was on his face. He clung to the luggage trolly that his dad was pushing, desperate for the family to hurry up as his mum and Oskar tried to keep up.
"C'monnnnn. I need to get onto the train! I'm going to be lateeee!" He called over his shoulder, fixing his pointed hat on his head and scrunching up his eyes to peer through the crowd.
Catching up to her son, Jessica put her hand on his shoulder to calm him down. "I'm sure you won't," she laughed, shaking her head as she gazed quickly at her oldest and then at the clock. "It's not even half ten, we're here early, as promised." She shot a look at her daughter as Emiline uttered a, "Way too early." and received a dig in the ribs from Oskar.
"Now, stop it you two," Thomas glared at Darwin's older siblings before pushing the trolly to a halt. "Go and look in the shop, get yourselves something to drink or something." He pressed a note into Emilines hand before turning back to his youngest and looking around the station. "Seen Brooke yet, son?"
Darwin scrunched up his eyes and shook his head.
"No," he managed miserably, standing on his tiptoes to see better over the crowds of people.
"I don't think she's here yet. What if she's late and she misses the train and she doesn't get to go to Hoggywarts with me?" He raised his eyes to his parents who sighed but hastened to explain that they were sure she wouldn't be late, before turning them back to the crowds and searching for a familiar face.
"LAURA?!" he called out loudly, waving at the girl in the distance. She was with her mum, it seemed. Would she want to be disturbed?
