Violet didn't seem to freak out or think he was some creepy weirdo when he said she was beautiful. For now, anyway. But he was thankful enough that she was still here talking to him. It had literally been months before this, and talking again felt so nice. Things felt real again. Happy, almost. "Yeah... Mhmm..." he agreed, not really listening to a word she said. He wasn't meaning to tune her out, but of course he was getting lost in that messy brain of his again.

But then she started leaving."Wait... what? Where are you going?" Was she just going to leave like that? Oh, he thought they'd been making progress! This clearly wasn't an important discussion for her. This was just an awkward talk. Of course.

What had he said? Well, he didn't really want to just admit that he had been calling himself an idiot... But of course he did. She made him all dorky and weird, but that was just what she did to him. "I was calling myself dumb... I MEAN... How's your mum?" Of course, Christopher. Always so smooth, wasn't he?
