Christopher had forgotten all about the bruise in the midst of an apology, a captain's badge, and an awkward silence, but when Violet pulled her hair out of her face, the lion saw it before she even spoke up. Once she winced, he asked how it looked. Truth was, he didn't even want to say. It looked
awful! To think that his own shoe had caused such damage to the girl's head was mind blowing! He thought it had even gotten worse than early... Oh dear.
Unable to tear his eyes away from it, Christopher tried to fake a smile, but it clearly didn't work. After a while, he made an apologetic face and stifled a laugh.
"God Violet.. It's awful! I think it's gotten even more purple, and it's even more swollen... I'm so sorry!" As if he hadn't felt awful for being a jerk before, he felt a HUNDRED times worse by now. He'd been a git
