Kennedy made his way with Hilbert to the Charms classroom. The boy was carrying his egg in the small makeshift carrier he had built at the beginning of the project. He entered the classroom and greeted the professor, "Hello, Professor Schirmer," he said, and went to take a seat on one of the cushions.

He left some room for Hilbert's carrier on the cushion next to him, so that his thigh was barely touching it. Kennedy looked up at the board and read the instructions. He was SO excited. He's waited for this time for so long, that now he wasn't sure if he wanted to let go of Hilbert. What if it didn't hatch?

Well, let's not think about that just yet. He still had to do the spell and wait for the result. He withdrew his wand from its holster and directed it at Hilbert. Here goes nothing. He tapped a shaky Hilbert and said, "Effringo." Now, to wait.
