"Of course, and I'm not too bad at memory charms myself." he said, though he was nowhere near as skilled as the obliviators. "I prefer not to use them though, I think it's a little impersonal."
Rufin scrawled a title onto the form in front of him with his curvy hand writing. "So, what exactly do you do in permissions?" he asked curiously, ticking boxes and scribbling words on the form as he spoke.
Sigrid's hazel green eyes widened.
"Fifteen animals?" She blinked a couple of times. She'd never known anyone who had that many pets...she herself never really had any at all while she was growing up, aside from an owl.
"That must be terribly...draining."
Her head tilted slightly to the left,
'Impersonal?' She chuckled lightly to herself.
"I don't think it does any harm to be impersonal, as long as the job is done correctly." Sigrid smirked a bit,
"I think that's the point really. Keep everything hush hush and corrected should a muggle witness anything." Wasn't like they would remember whether or not the Obliviator was a cheerful, personable individual or not anyway.
"In Permissions?" She asked a bit comically, as though she hadn't been expecting it.
"Oh, well, what I do is issue permissions to any witches or wizards who wish to build in environments that are sensitive or dangerous. Same thing goes for any businesses that wish to build in those areas, they must be approved by a Permissions officer first." Sigrid sniffed a little and rubbed her nose, holding in a sneeze,
"We also check in on those individuals every so often to make sure precautions and whatnot are being carried through and obeyed." She finished with a light nod of her head. Yep.

"Actually, I'm quite new-ish too, and I believe you are just the person I was looking for. Though we've never properly met before," Laura said. She absently put down her things on the closest desk and extended a hand toward the other woman for a quick shake. "I'm the permitting director, Laura Miller. I was hoping I might have a word with you about some transportation matters. I understand you haven't been here long, but two heads are better than one, in any case."
Sigrid looked up at the woman and smiled,
"Oh!" She extended her hand and shook Laura's.
"It's nice to meet you. I'm-" Sigrid paused for a moment,
"I'm Sigrid Kestrel." 'A job? My first real job here?' She smiled, and her eyes brightened up.
"Have as many words with me as you'd like. I'm here and willing to help...that is my job after all."
