"They seem to be taking any warnings and guidance as an attack at the moment, from what I hear in the office. Especially Mrs Latorta," Gabe nodded in the direction of the old lady shouting near the front. "She isn't listening to reason, so I suspect a warning from us would fall on deaf ears."
But they did need to be prepared in case a storming through the door did happen. Which is why Gabriel slipped his wand slowly out of it's holster - holding it close by his side so it wasn't very visible. Just in case.
But he was using it sooner than he thought.
Feeling the tap on his shoulder, Gabe spun round, wand pointed at the nose of the man behind him. "Never," he began, softening when he heard who it was, "sneak up on a person like that, Dean. Especially an old timer in MLE. It could end very badly for you." Luckily he'd refrained from actually doing anything, so the man's nose was safe. Putting his arm down, Gabriel sighed and nodded. "Yes, I am Mr Vartann, but please just call me Gabriel. And it's good that you're here, they seem to be getting - louder."
He eyed them all again, frowning when he saw the ferocity with which they were all shouting. How they thought it would end well for them was anyone's guess.
Lights nodded. "Oka-" she began, but then Gabriel turned and all but jammed his wand up some poor guy's nose. Whoa. Lights made a mental note to always approach Gabriel from the front with her hands in the air. Her face was fine just the way it was right now.
She smiled at the newcomer. "Hello," she said almost as brightly as normal. Another day, another friend, right? Lights slid her wand from her pocket and slipped it into her sleeve, where she could get to it easier, reminding herself to get a holster one of these days. They seemed to be quite handy.
