At the teacher's words, Violet moved carefully across the room until she was standing next to one of the students who had said she could cast a corporeal Patronus--a Slytherin, and the Head Girl, to boot! She must know what she's doing, so Violet decided to watch Evelyn carefully.

Violet raised her hand--she couldn't cast a Patronus, but at least she could offer an opinion on a question.
"You might not always have access to other means of communication--an owl or the Floo--but as long as you have your wand, you could still cast a Patronus." If you could cast a Patronus, that is.
