What did this MEAN for them? Were they going to start getting along suddenly now, after working on this hellish homework assignment? Tori stared between her parchment and Sierra, gaping just a bit.
"Great," Sierra mumbled under her breath.
"Can't you see it, Tori?" She gestured toward the parchment. "The answer's right in front of us." She tapped an area of the parchment with her index finger.
"In order to open the walnut,..." *dramatic pause and eye roll*
"...we've got to work together." "Maybe we should..." She paused as a look of disgust crept across her face.
"Open each other's walnut..."
