He thought he had made his words clear.Adam would not interfer with her feelings an her relationship.Out of what he had said,that much,from there on out would be true.He wouldn't do anything.So why would he completely abandon what he had said an go do the exact opposite it would only make his words seem like a lie,which did him no good at the moment.
It would be difficult for him to try an start being a friend an find himself again,but he wouldn't hurt her in any way.
