Hogwarts RPG Name: Gnaeus Ambrose Spenser Graduated | Quote:

"Correct. It's Rennervate, and not Ennervate." Gnaeus eyed the students who proposed Ennervate. That would produce the opposite effect, and it was incorrect. Quote:

So counter spell for Stunning spell. Jonathan had used it once so it's probably what the professor is looking or. He raised his hand to answer "Uhmmm... the ennervate is one of the counter-spell to the Stunning spell" although the shield charm can also be considered as a counter spell to almost anything.
There are tons of counter-spells, one should only know where to use such spells. "levicorpus' counter spell is the Liberacorpus..." is it correct? "Very good! Liberacorpus will counter the effect of Levicopus!" Quote:

"Ennervate would be the counter-spell for the Stunning Spell," she pauses before moving to the next question. "If I'm not mistaken... Vipera Evanesca is the counter-spell for Serpensortia." "Correct! Vipera Evanesca is the ideal counter spell for Serpensortia, but Evanesco alone is also considered a counter spell, which can work against a wide variety of spells. Very good." Quote:

He wasn't. Oh Josh. Quite frankly, Evelyn didn't want him to be conscious, only to realize that he was now dangling in the air like a piņata for everyone to stare at. Nodding somewhat, mouth agate slightly, she walked back down from the stage and towards her space in the back of the group, her gaze never leaving the Gryffindor boy.
Tilting her head to the side somewhat as she leaned against the wall again, arms crossed like usual, the way Josh hung there was...well it was hard to look away; much less even pay attention to what was being said. Crossing her arms a little tighter, she snapped her mouth shut and finally payed attention to the lesson. Not without her gaze flickering over to...Josh...every now and then though. Perhaps someone SHOULD wake him up...
Stare.
OH WAIT! She knew spells. Yup. Counter spells. Don't stare at the dangling boy! "Reverto is a counter spell for...a variety of spells." At least she learned one thing in transfiguration class. "Precisely! While Evanesco will make something that has been conjured vanish, Reverto will turn something that has been transfigured into its original form." Quote:

and... The other counter spell. "Other examples is.. Banishing charm. Depulso. is a counter spell for Accio, the summoning charm." "Very good! The Banishing Charm can also be used to send away unwanted objects that weren't previously summoned by the caster, so keep this spell in mind." Quote:

Finite works for a specific object and Finite Incantatem will affect all objects within an area." Admittedly, Eino never thought about using these two spells in duels but now they seemed quite appropriate for it, and very useful. "Finite and Finite Incantatem are very important, too. Good, good."
Moving on... "Rennervate is the Counter Spell for the Stunning Spell, and it will bring stunned individuals back to consciousness." The man then set the Gryffindor boy down on the stage carefully and with a twirl of his wand he uttered the incantation. "Rennervate." The tip of Gnaeus' wand began to emit a dim white light and almost immediately the boy began to open his eyes and wake up. "That should do it." He said, flicked his wand, then tucked it back into his pocket to help the boy up. "Now, today you will be dueling without the use of the Shield Charm. Instead, you will use Counter Spells. Most of you mentioned some useful spells, so keep those in mind. However, you failed to mention that most spells can serve as counter spells, too. For example, you can respond to a Stunning Spell with the same spell. This will work as long as you and your opponent don't have wands with the same core.
But that's not as fun, so today I want you to duel using your creativity. You may not use Dark Magic, but other than that anything goes. Be creative in attacking your opponent as well as defending yourself. Pay close attention to their wand movement, incantation, and the appearance of the spell. Pick a partner, preferably someone from the same year as you, but if you can't find someone of the same age someone a bit younger or older won't make a significant difference. Also, make sure your opponent doesn't have the same wand core as you. Most importantly, don't go too easy on each other. Questions?"
--- OOC: Okay, time to practice. You have been instructed to be creative, so this means you can do just about anything with HP canon spells as well as SS canon spells.
For example, use Serpensortia, Avis, Avifors, Lapifors, Papilio, Dragonifors (that's what the dragon statues are for) with Oppugno to sic some animals on your opponent. In response, you can use Fera Verto to transfigure the animals into whatever you concentrate on, Reverto to turn them back to their original state, or Evanesco to vanish them.
You can use Fire related spells to attempt to burn your opponent and in response you can cast Water spells. Use Glisseo to make them slip up and fall, and counter the charm with Finite.
Have fun using the Bestiar Charm. You can transfigure their eyes into bat eyes so they can't see because it's light, their arms into wings so they can't hold onto their wands, etc.
There's Incarcifors, Lentesco, Shrowan, Melofors, Densaugeo, Ventus, Muffliato, and so on. There are a million things you can do.
You are expected to get some minor injuries because we will be learning some Healing Spells later, but only MINOR INJURIES. A small burn, a broken finger or nose, small cuts are all acceptable. Don't die, and don't do anything that would require immediate medical help.
