Ashley watched intently from where he had moved to sit next to Violet about forever ago, even though he didn't really want to, mostly because he figured he would do better if he was hiding in the back somewhere. But this was already way more interesting than the last class, so maybe it would stay that way.
He had no idea what that ropey spell was called, though he'd thought the professor was only asking the older students anyway. So he didn't need to know. But then so many other of the younger students were answering, making him wonder if maybe he just had more studying to do. Whatever it was, it was pretty cool. Maybe he should do more studying just so he'd be able to do it eventually. It seemed very useful... for... looking cool.
