"Your smile's wicked pretty." Ellie was simply stating a fact. That and she was trying to take from the other fact that they were still talking about studying. Granted, she brought it up, but she only had a question. And now it had turned into a discussion. One that was taking way too long and that she had very little interest in.

"I'm not going to the library, though." He'd better not go all Eino on her, either, and drag her in there. Or she'd hate him forever.

Not true, of course, as she only met Eino that same day and grew to love him after the fact, but STILL. No library. "Let's do that." The lounge thing.

Yeah, she probably COULD afford to study all of her classes more. However, she was pretty confident she could scrape an A in most of them. Perhaps even an E. But, sure, if it'll make everyone else feel better, she'll 'study'. "I don't take Runes." Merlin, no.

"I know, but still." It was an excellent gift. And definitely not what she was expecting. Though, if he did have a story also....

The Locker Room? "Sometimes I do." Like after the last practice before a match or directly after a match. "But I like having it with me and..."

She was thinking of another excuse for keeping it in her dorm, which really was kind of pointless, but then he said IT. "What??" She gave him a LOOK. He HAD to be joking or...or SOMETHING. He just could NOT be serious. Didn't he KNOW how AWFUL she was? That she NEEDED all the practice she had time for?

That was a problem. But he decided to let it go. No need to mention anything else about Potions, then. Ever.

And...wait, what?!

What did that have anything to do with...? What had they been talking about? Studying, right? "Fine, I'll stop." There was a faint blush on his cheeks, though. But he knew what she was doing, it was perfectly clear that she wanted to stop talking about the thing she disliked the most. Ellie should've said that instead of mentioning his smile, he would've stopped a long time ago if that had been the case.

Yeah, he figured that out on his own. She wasn't going to the library...and he'll have no other choice but to accept that. In all fairness, it was entirely ridiculous not to step into the library even for a minute throughout the whole school year...but, whatever.

"Actually, we could even study outdoors...but...I'll stop mentioning it." IT. The studying. Because he didn't want another compliment so he'd stop saying whatever she didn't want to hear.

He nodded when she mentioned not taking Runes. Good. Pretty good. He wouldn't have expected her to take both Arithmancy AND Ancient Runes. He also shrugged about the gift thing.

And he was listening...until...right, so, no skipping practice, then? Well, he disagreed, shockingly. "You heard me." Can you imagine the reaction IF he'd mentioned quitting Quidditch for good? She'd hate him forever. "Just one day away from the Pitch. It may do you good."
