As soon as Vashti began to wrinkle her nose, Dashiel sighed and stopped his knuckle-cracking endeavor. Did it really sound that bad...? Urgh. Oh well. Instead, he decided to wiggle them once and begin to tap his foot softly. Nervous habits tended to make him move. As long as he was doing something, he was fine. Hopefully this would be less annoying.

"I can't really say," Dash sighed, not wanting to admit his wounded ego at being sorted into it. "I... Well, I just transferred this year, but I don't really think I belong in Slytherin. Y'know what I mean? It's... not what I expected of myself..."
