Jez walked into the Owlery feeling a lot happier than the last time she'd sent a letter. She leant on the wall to write another one to her older brother.

Keegan - I'm so glad Than's going to be alright! You had me scared there! Everything's okay at Hogwarts. Classes, a Quidditch match (Ravenclaw against Slytherin, snakes won ), Hogsmead (Honeydukes was awesome!), and I even taught my friend Erin how to ice-skate! And then there's Scott ... he's one of my best friends, but things have been, well, weird between us. I think I have a crush on him. My friend Nate certainly thinks so - he told me straight in the common room a few nights ago. I don't know. Scott had a girlfriend earlier this year, a Slytherin called Chelsea Charm, and he broke up with her because of his parents thinking he's not old enough to date. Jez slipped the letter into an envelope without rereading it, and quickly attached it to an obliging owl. "Take this to Keegan Black," she instructed, then gave the owl a little bit of sugar cube she'd gotten from breakfast that morning, and let it swoop through the window.
