Everett managed to move his right hand onto the yellow R2 that his other hand was already on. That was easier than he thought it would be, even though his arms and legs were beginning to feel heavy and wanted to fall.

Next, he he almost groaned. red and green were opposite sides, this was going to be interesting. Slowly and carefully, Everett lifted his foot, untwisting it from his other leg and swung his body around so he was able to get his foot near the reds. He put his foot down on the R1 red. His body was ready to fall, but he wasn't going to give up that easily. He was going to win this.
