As the student's began shuffling to set up their telescopes Edvard took a few minutes to study his lesson plan. Hearing murmurs of difficulties with finding Mercury and some student's who worked like detectives he decided to step in to maybe clear away the confusion.

"But yes normally Mercury is only visible for a short while at dawn but this is a wizarding school is it not and here anything is possible with the help of magic, right?"
Taking up his wand Edvard said "To help you focus your magical telescopes i'm going to teach you a focus spell for the lens called lens focalis. The wand movement is a swish and then tap motion on the telescope."
Taking out a telescope from the cupboard he demonstrated the wand movement slowly, showing the swish and then tap on the telescope. "lens focalis!" he said firmly. Turning to adress the student's again he said "Practice the incantion first and then test it out on your telescopes. If you've done it right what you see in your telescopes should be more clear and sharp."
OCC: Practice the new focus charm on your telescopes and see if you can find Mercury now with the help of your telescopes and the information I've provided (at dawn it should be visible right next to the sun or you can do as sweetpinkpixie suggested and look for Jupiter or Venus first before locating Mercury).
After Alexia listened to Professor Roslund she tried the new spell, the focus charm. "Lens focalis" she whispered. then she practiced the wand movement for that spell, swish and tap. She was ready to do it together, "Lens Focalis", she spoke the incantation while doing the wand movement. She looked through her telescope to check if the spell was successful.
Yes it was, it was definitely clearer than it was a while ago.
Then she began searching for Jupiter or Venus, her Telescope much better now, due to the charm.
As she was still looking for the planet, she saw something really big, compared to anything surrounding it. It was a huge reddish-gray ball, she thought it was a star, but it wasn't twinkling. She remembered something from a book she read, 'If you a see a heavenly body that looks like a star but doesn't twinkle, its a planet'.
Alexia called the Professor,
"Professor, Professor. Look, Is that Jupiter?" she said.
"I'ts really enormous... And look, there's even a big red spot, only Jupiter has that kind of spot". She stared at Professor Roslund for awhile waiting for his answer, then looked up at the planet she just saw.

Orr took out her wand and practice the wand movement before trying the movement plus the incantation. "lens focalis!' she said as she waved her wand in the right movement. She checked her telescope and found that it was much more focused and pointing it in the right direction, she found Venus with little difficulty. Next she needed to find Mercury which with the spell didn't take long at all.
She whispered to Alexia, "Try the spell--it really helps focus the telescope."
"Yeah, It did" she smiled again. "did you see it now?", while looking through the telescope. "I found Jupiter already, who could even miss that planet, It's really big!" she laughed softly.
