Make sense?
Why did Ellie seem so dumbfounded right now and they weren't even dealing with numbers yet? It was simply words? Strange girl. Quote:

As such, what might this indicate for a combination of numbers such as 47?" Fina asked. Nice random, two digit number. Why were they talking about them, then? This was the same thing that happened when people tried learning things from books. They're filled with things that are totally unimportant to what you want to know. Hadley was like a walking BOOK.
Ellie will be keeping a closer eye on this Professor from now on. Just in case she morphed into her true book form and tried to EAT her.
OH OH OH!
THIS. This she knew. "You add them together, the four and the seven. It'd make eleven. And since eleven's an uber special, really awesome number, you don't reduce it anymore." And you could find whatever eleven meant in the textbook. Ellie didn't know offhand, and wasn't going to pull out the book unless it was COMPLETELY necessary. Which she was sure it wasn't, because she was positive she didn't need to tell Hadley what that special number meant. Hadley probably had the book memorized. OR her true form was an Arithmancy textbook. Either way, Ellie needn't waste breathe explaining what the Professor already knew.
