Arianna walked into the common room and took a seat by the fire. Re-reading her transfiguration book she hoped to perfect the two spells she had learned that day ('FELINTAS' and 'RISTARIS'); (as she had not been happy with her first attempt in the courtyard which became a bit of an embarrasment). Once again she tried, saying the spell under her breath and slowly her appearance began to change, but not the way she had planned. All she had done was change back to her usual self. 'I suppose its better than looking like an ugly goul, but still' Arianna thought as she closed her book. She saw some other girls leave the common room, it was quite and woundered why. Then she realised its about time she headed down to the Great Hall for dinner. Arianna left the common room in silence, her transfiguration book still clutched in her hands.
