But this was just, different.
I don't know how to describe it. Actually, I don't know if you could describe it. It wasn't just there. It was really, really there. I don't know if that makes sense. Most of the stuff I say usually doesn't.
Suddenly, without me controlling it or anything, we were really awfully close. I blushed. A little. Not extremely. I mean, I don't know about Cinderella, but sure as heck wasn't uncomfortable.
I mean, I was kinda in a weird position...but I didn't notice it. When we were this close I could breathe her in better.
Look, I know it sounds weird, but I already told you I didn't know the words to describe it. I tried.
There weren't any words that she could think of that fit this moment. It was different than in Diagon Alley, because now they kind of knew were they stood with each other. However, this moment...it was unlike anything she had been through, ever.
Something was just there between them. Something that she couldn't exactly name. It was just there.
She was suddenly aware that he noticed their closeness. Her cheeks turned pink again, but she didn't mind. She wanted to be this close. Actually, she wanted to be closer, but she wasn't going to push it. Where they were was comfortable.
Sure, her legs were tucked under her in an awkward position, but it didn't matter. Right now, all that mattered was how close they were sitting.
She ran her fingers through her hair, tilting her face towards his. She studied his expression, his body language, and his robes. Green.
"So, Slytherin, huh?"
