Wow, someone got excited with a little courtesy. Or maybe she thought he was handsome--which he was, and he knew. Or, maybe, it was both. In any way, he had just met a Ravenclaw girl--meaning she wasn't that dumb and shallow--who seemed to be more enthusiastic than Louisa. He liked this class; it enabled him to meet more girls. Hehe.

Nice to meet you, India," he said, noting the accent and the interesting name he had heard for the first time in English. Well, since he would make sure to meet with her later, he could ask about it then.

Chuckling at her little joke, he waved at Chip with his head too and offered his hand at the same time Louisa arrived. Since both were from the same house, he didn't see any necessity to introduce them to each other. If none of them took the lead and offered who would go first, he was going to. He had already offered his hand to India anyway, so, eyes going between them for a moment, he asked politely again.

"Shall we dance, senhorita?"

Now, to watch for Louisa's reaction.

Before she turned to take it, she smiled to Louisa, "Thank you, so much for understanding." She smiled softly. Brushing a bit of hair out of her face as she did so before quickly accepting Joao's hand.

"We are supposed to Waltz right?" She asked, nervously her smile still plastered happily on her face. "I'm not the best but I know the basics of it being a four-point square dance..." her last little line of speach ended up fading in decibles as she spoke it was almost a whisper at the end.

Once he got it, he nearly beamed and threw himself back again, quite artistical at that.

"See, you know something," he said with a small nod of encouragement. "Don't worry, I know how to dance." Probably the only thing his mother had taught him, although she still looked for her own interest in even doing that: I can't afford people saying 'Mrs. Neves' son cannot dance!' in the future! But he was grateful for that now. It didn't take him too much to figure out girls loved boys who could dance properly.

"Now, we'll keep the eye-contact and manage not to step on each other's feet." With a confident smile he looked into her eyes and started moving slooowly, first left foot to the side, then right foot to the back... though it was up to her to lead. She was the female side, after all.

What the... O__o

Louisa watched the girl - India? - very suspiciously as she blushed, touched her hair and all that girly girly moves that she disliked. It wasn't only that she was prettier than Louisa, she had this accent - a common point with Joao which triggered a searing alert in Louisa's head.

She was losing.

With a fake sweet smile at India Louisa stepped aside slightly, folded her arms and watched, burning fire inside of her chest started to grow. She did not know how to waltz hence attending the lesson but this girl was fine - not great but fine. That was going to be quite a challenge. Or she could just forget about this whole getting closer to Joao thing and bury herself in grief?

...or get rid of this India if she kept this girly attitude that clearly won Joao because HE WAVED AT AN IMAGINARY PERSON FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

Her foot was tapping lightly on the ground in nervousness, her fingernails slightly digging into her arms as they were folded - yeah, she seriously was uncomfortable watching this.
