"I've just heard some things...like Destiny wearing your badge, feeding you food and then Caroline kissing you on the train before summer...so I was just checking." Okay, that probably sounded very accusing. And he could overlook any of that if it was true. But, Marie brought them up, which led to Caroline's confession, so he just wanted to set the record straight. "I just want to make sure Marilyn's happy. She's been through a lot, mostly on my account, but I don't want to see her getting hurt. Or you for that matter because she really cares about you." Okay...getting a little awkward, but there's nothing with a little bit of honesty right?
