It was the first time they really interacted with each other since he told her absolutely everything...and she slapped him. This whole little dance thing and taking the initiative could go one or two ways. One, it would go smoothly and they could really enjoy each other's company, just like old times. Or two, Rafe would screw up with some awful comment or step on her toes, setting Marilyn off and ending up with another slap across the face and her storming off; only to put more distance between them.
