"Now shut up, sit down and listen to your prefects."

Now that was more along the lines of what Sierra had been thinking. Punish the offenders, not the victims. Yup. She breathed in a sigh of relief as the stench was banished from the room. Her gaze shifted toward the Quinn girl--Aurora, she'd found out from classes. The girl seemed worthy enough, even if she had just earned herself a detention. Maybe they'd bump into one another one of these days...

Corentin grinned at the arm swatting but his expression was more dismayed at the sandwich taking. He tugged the meat platter closer and settled for mentally saliviating over that instead, shooting little glances at Sierra, or perhaps more correctly, the sandwiches.

"Do they? Hmm. Wonder if it'd work."

Sierra regarded both Corey and Kimalia with a short, second-long glance. She couldn't exactly continue their conversation now. What with Evelyn up there going on and on and on about respect and ways to earn back points.

No one seemed to be eating yet...at least, not until she had took that split moment to look the other way and became distracted.

Salander seemed to have taken care of it though, however, Evelyn had witnessed the little event with Aurora and the new girl. Did...did the first year just set off a stinkbomb? In the presence of the Head Boy and Girl, AND her Head of House? Just what was going through her mind when she did that?

It seemed she could only become more and more annoyed as this meeting went on. Something had to change. She listened to all those who answered Salander's question.

They all seemed to be on the right track. Losing points, the behavior of the Slytherin house these last few days, ground rules, and ways to get their points (and pride) back. "Yes. This meeting is in fact about our loss of points and behavior. However, we'll be discussing ways of getting these points back as well as a few other topics. You will not be allowed to eat until we all have a full understanding of how to behave in our classes and as Slytherins." They couldn't change the past. Only the future. Standing up, she eyed everyone to make sure they didn't even think about eating as of yet. No, they had to wait.

Looking towards Sierra, Evelyn stood up and raised a brow, not at all amused. "Yes, you do." She herself may have not liked it, quite noticeable by the way she scrunched up her nose every now and then, but it was all in the learning process. "This, right here..." She gestured to the girl that had thrown the stinkbomb, as well as Aurora. "Is just an example of the behavior we are talking about. You all should learn right here and right now that your house, whether you like the people in it or not, is your family here at Hogwarts. One of you messes up, everyone in your house pays the price."

"However, just because we may have 'tumbled down the hill' a little, that does not mean we are so weak where we can't help eachother get back up and start climbing again with even more determination than before. We, as Slytherins, are not weak. Our scratches and bruises are what makes us stronger and united. Call it self-preservation or whatever you will, but we learn from our mistakes. Slytherin's history has shown that we are just as smart as Ravenclaws, just as loyal and hardworking as Hufflepuffs, and just as brave as Gryffindors." Without the stupidity part attached. "Perhaps even more so. Yet in these last few days, I don't even know where we stand. We have shown we are lower than the bottom of the list. Some of us are making poor decisions, and others are just standing idly by watching it all unfold in front of their very eyes or even joining in themselves. And that...that effects everyone's image here in Slytherin."

Taking a deep breath, she leaned against the table with her hands, looking around. "While I'd hate to see our chances at showing we are a great and amazing house go down the drain, we can't move forward until we realize how we can achieve doing so. So, what do you all think? How can we build our points back up and at the same time, show that the house of Salazar Slytherin is worthy of being respected as a house...as well as all of us individually?"

Wait...what?! Was that an unamused expression from her friend?! Her teammate?! ...but Evelyn, we're supposed to be friends! Sierra frowned a little herself but otherwise made no additional comments about the stench.

She cast a remorseful eye on their Head of House, not wanting what she was about to say to offend the older woman. "...Psychopaths. Is anything we do going to be good enough?"

Hearing that comment, Sierra smirked and then laughed very softly to herself. She didn't necessarily agree with what had been said, but she found it amusing nonetheless.

And they better not think about eating the chocolate. That was the only reason she was really there for. She was a good Slytherin, hadn't even lost house points in such a long time. She was just about to YELL at them food-eaters, but it seemed Sal had a good eye, and got to them before she could. Way to go, Sal. Way to go.

And since she was too busy eying up the food and the people eating it, she missed the whole dungbomb throwing. Luckily, Sal and Lafay (when did she get there!?!?!) took notice and.. seriously.. Destiny just needed to eat chocolate.

Stroking her fake moustache some more, she leaned back in the seat as Evelyn talked. And talked. And talked. She had to suppress a snort at the mention of tumbling down a hill. There were all Slytherins in the room, they all pushed eachother. But, she wasn't going to mention that. No. She was going to sit there and think of ways of building their points back up. And of course, a way to make the Slytherin house become respected.

Her hand shot up in the air. "Profess-- I mean, Evelyn!" How EMBARRASSING. "I know what we have to do!'' Leaning forward, she lowered her hand and her voice. "We need to take out the competition."

No other houses meant they would get all the housepoints. It was perfect.

"Well, heck yeah," Sierra said, sitting up and casting a look in Destiny's direction. Taking out the competition? "Now we're talking..." Maybe they could start with the Puffers. After all, the kitchen had already been closed. Didn't they live there or something? Or nearby?

Again, she smirked, though. She knew they couldn't just take out the competition. She was getting more amused by the minute, though.

Showing up to classes late seems to be our biggest trouble at the moment. If you see someone still asleep while you know they have a class, please...wake them up. Nothing says 'We Don't Care' more than showing up to classes late. I understand that some of us are still getting used to the giant castle and trying not to get lost, so if you need to, pair up with an older student who can show you around. We have something called Serpent Sidekicks here in Slytherin house that you can sign up for which is pretty much older students pairing up with younger and new students. There is no shame in asking for help." In fact, she made a mental note to sign up later to help out.

"Also please, and I can't stress this enough, read up on what the rules are for each class you take. This will kill us in points also if we don't follow them. Speaking of classes, participating in lessons and doing our homework is what will earn us our major points. If you can't make it to a lesson, you still have the opportunity to do the homework and trust me when I say this...it won't kill you to take an hour out of your day to do your homework. Some of them may seem tedious to do, but for the sake of Slytherin house, do it anyways." Running a hand through hair, she glanced over to Lafay for a moment before continuing on.

"However, like some of you mentioned, we can also ask Professors if they need any help with anything. This is another way we can gain our house points, but don't be disappointed if you don't receive any. I'm rather sure the Professor will remember you taking time out of your life to help them in some way or another, and that puts us in the good light instead of the bad. Every little point and good deed counts." And she rather hoped they didn't complain if a certain person at this school told them to cut the grass with safety scissors.

"If you don't feel up to helping Professors, we also have our sport teams here at Hogwarts. If you've signed up for quidditch, good luck to you all at tryouts. If you aren't, than come on over to the stands and cheer for your team. If you're not a quidditch fan and more into sports where you can't be knocked unconscious, you can check out the rules for our gobstones team. Anyone is welcome to join gobstones, there are no tryouts, but I strongly suggest reading and memorizing the rules if you feel like joining in. Slytherin has won the Quidditch Cup last term and have very strong standings in the Gobstones tournament and might I add...the victor of these events receives a certain amount of points." Wink wink. Perhaps that would get their attention? They needed more Slytherin players for Gobstones.

"As for respect, there is a saying 'Treat others the way YOU want to be treated." Have they heard of it? "You treat someone like they're dirt, then you're going to be treated like dirt in return. This brings up the concept that one poor action from a Slytherin student reflects those of the entire house. Besides, if I hear a Slytherin is mistreating another Slytherin, or any student for that matter, you'll have to answer to us." Us being her, Salander, and Lafay. That was just how it was. Taking a deep breath, she gave a small glance to Salander before finishing up. "This is all just common sense. Don't speak out of turn, don't throw stinkbombs..." She was EYING people. "Don't give the Professors any reason to take points, participate in lessons and do your homework, and most importantly...respect others. The house of Salazar Slytherin should, above all others, know how to do these simple tasks. We are Slytherins. We are ambitious. We are cunning. We are smart and brave people, and everything in-between. Let us show those other houses that we have what it takes to win and be the best. They won't stand a chance if we work together on this."

Taking another short breath, Evelyn may have actually smiled a little bit, letting all of what she said sink in for a moment before continuing. "Before we start this feast, are there any other suggestions you'd like to give?"

Dear Merlin!

Evelyn had just said more words in the last two minutes alone than Sierra had heard her say in the two years they'd known one another. She tried to hang onto every word, though. It got easier once Quidditch was brought up. Now that was something Sierra could handle. She wasn't the type to go readily help some professor stack their paperwork or something.

She nodded, showing an understanding, but she didn't offer any other suggestions. Evelyn had pretty much covered it all, and she sort of thought Corey might hex anybody who held up the feast any longer.
