With some excitement, she recognised some people, including Kurumi, whom she smiled and waved to. And then there were the Slytherins she knew...

"Gooood morning! You look excited," Lauren told Orchid as she approached her. Her friend was currently standing before whom Lauren assumed was their professor, so she did the polite thing and introduce herself.
"Hi! I'm Lauren Morgan."
"Lauren! Hi! And yeah, I am! I
love Herbology, it's my second favorite class, first being Care of Magical Creatures, of course." She said but her smile faltered slightly at her friend's disheveled look. "You look...charming." She said holding in a slight laugh. "What happened?" She asked more seriously.
