Was she right or was she right? "You are wrong Miss Bunbury. But I guess that is what happens when you assume." His eyes quickly traveled around his room. What was so wrong with the red. "You make it sound like only Gryffindors can like the color red." He raised his brow at this statement.
Oh. Yes. Cousin. Oh well they were still related. "My mistake." He rested his cup on his desk before pouring some tea into another teacup and sliding it over to Victoria along with the containers of milk and sugar.
So! She was actually here for a reason! Everett actually formed a small smile after hearing this. "Yes of course! Hogwarts, A History would be the best to read, but I can't deny that it is a bit...dry." It wasn't really written to keep children interested. Everett stood up and made his way over to his bookcase. Very quickly he pulled out a small book with a brown cover, and held it out for Victoria to take. "I recommend this- A Study of Recent Developments in Wizardry"
"Green's not GLOOMY," Victoria countered, rolling her eyes at this statement. Really. "Red's too VIOLENT, especially if you weren't even a Gryffindor..." she eyed him carefully after this statement. "Were you, or weren't you, Professor?" Like, she HAD to know now!
Tori took her teacup and started dumping copious amounts of sugar inside. What was with the British and tea, anyway? She was never going to get used to it. She stirred her tea vehemently and then took a sip. Mmm, that was decent.
When she looked up again, it seemed the professor was smiling. Well! He looked even handsomer with a smile. "Yeahhhh I bought that one, but like, I couldn't even get past the first page." Tori made a face and reached out for the other book. "
A Study of Recent Developments in Wizardry... hmm...." She flipped through it quickly. "What's this one about?"
Like she couldn't read the title or anything.
