Ariella entered the common room and breathed a sigh of relief. She was home at last! After making her way up to the dormitories to claim her bed, she returned to the common room and flopped into a chair, happy to relax for a few days before classes started.

"Carriwitchet!" Ella said to the painting of the Fat Lady which had taken her ages to find. Upon muttering the words Ella noticed that the painting had swung open to reveal a hole in which she could see the Gryffindor common room beyond.
Ella clambered through the hole and into the common room. She then just stood there and started looking around hoping to see someone she knew from the feast.
Ariella noticed a young girl looking a little bit confused and worried in the common room.
"Hiya!" she exclaimed to the first year, sticking out her hand.
"I'm Ariella Adler. Second year. Nice to meet you!" she said cheerfully.
