A-a-a-a-anyone? :p Yeahhh, Mr White! Yeah science! So that was the feast over with. And as Tom made his way to the Gryffindor Tower for the first time in his life, he felt very alone. He was surprised by how much he was missing his ma already. He didn't spend much time in their flat, nor in her company.. and he wasn't always very nice to the poor woman, but just knowing she was always there when he needed her was a comfort to the lad.
He followed into the common room behind another student, relieved he didn't have to utter the password. It was a long, unfamiliar word and he'd forgotten it already. He was going to have to devise a way to remember in future.
The common room was certainly grand and where the open fires and large sofas were supposed to be inviting, Tom found it all a little intimidating and overwhelming. He was used to the concrete jungle of the estate. It was his home. This place seemed so foreign to him.
He took a seat in an armchair, not really knowing what to do with himself. Maybe he should just go for a stroll outside. Get his thoughts together.. but that was unfamiliar too: he had a feeling he would feel just as lost out there.
