Right. He hadn't thought of that. Mostly because Ash still wasn't really processing the whole idea yet. That, and he just didn't think about muggles that much. He'd never had to, so he'd really never had the concern about what they could or couldn't see. Maybe one day he would have questioned it, but until now, the notion had never entered his mind.
So he shrugged, sitting back a little so that he could rest his elbow on the table in order to prop up his head on his hand.
"I don't know. I guess that's a good point. I've never thought about it. I don't know that much about muggles," he admitted, rather than keeping the thoughts all to himself. He didn't see a problem with admitting something like that. It wouldn't make him seem stupid, would it? Why would it?
"So why would you write to her about your owl? If you know she won't like it?" he asked. It seemed like a different kind of situation from the one that would happen if he told his mother he was in another house. That would be a funny prank. This girl sounded like her mother would actually be upset. Then he remembered something, very random, in the middle of a conversation. "Oh, what's your name, by the way? I'm Ashley."
