As more first years were sorted into Gryffindor, Kurumi tried her best to take the time to smile at each of them as they passed. Did it seem like there were A LOT more of them than usual? Kurumi was usually a smiling person, but her cheeks were going to hurt by the end of the evening.

Welcome to each of you," she chirped, charming a cookie for each.
Yep. Poor first impression already. Hadn't even introduced herself. Kurumi took a few steps forward and bowed slightly before speaking. "
Nice to meet you, Adam." She paused on his name for just an second. Now was NOT the time to think about all that though. "
My name is Kurumi," she said, almost bowing again, but she took his hand instead.

Kurumi had almost forgotten that her prefecting duties now included watching out for Josh. Maybe...she could just pass the task over to Jai. Kurumi knew she would be rubbish at keeping THAT lion in its cage.

Josh!" Kurumi waved, taking a quick peek around to make sure Cookie Hater wasn't with him. She flicked her wand and charmed a cookie his direction.
"P-P-P-Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease don't make this term hard for me..."
Another Gryffindor had joined the table, one that looked awfully quiet, but not in the manner that a nervous first year did - not that this boy even looked like a first year.
