But she had never met someone from that area, so admittedly she was very curious.

She had to admit; it was pretty cool that this sixteen year old was actually asking her about her experience with dance. “All sorts; jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip-hop…some tap. I love hip-hop though.” She shook her wrist, causing the bangles that sat there to jangle. “It’s really funky. If my iPod worked right now, I’d probably be dancing in the corridors.” She laughed as she said this, knowing full well that this was no exaggeration.

Yes…that made sense..about the landscapes. “So I imagine that you’ve done landscapes like the beach of LA?” She asked, now very curious to see the drawings. “How long have you been sketching?”
As the questions kept being asked, Matt was finding out that Kourtney had had some interest in the city he was from; living in LA wasn't that big of a deal really. It would be exactly like coming from any big city in the world, but he wasn't about to dismiss her interest. "I did a couple weeks ago before I came back to London, my cousin Raven is a photographer and she was doing a photoshoot for some magazine. Not sure what it was called, but I met former Slytherin Amanda Lesalle; she left Hogwarts at the end of her 4th year to continue her music career and now she's some huge rockstar." It wasn't necessarily a big deal to him since he was more concerned about other things at the time but it was still pretty cool, even if his cousin decided to almost start up the rivalry that she had had with the other woman again.

He nodded as she spoke about what genres of dance she had studied, well it had appeared that she was quite well versed in everything which he did admire since a lot of the dances she mentioned were not easy by any means. "That's really cool, and I'm sure people would enjoy the entertainment of seeing someone dance in the corridor of the train since at least from my memory; that's never happened before." So it seemed that she was a little kooky, that wasn't a problem since he much rather speak to someone who didn't seem to annoy him at every turn.

"I've done a couple landscapes when I was last hanging out at Venice Beach, sunset is definitely one of my favorite things to paint simply because of all the colors and also the fact that there's the reflection from the water. It's actually quite beautiful." He finally managed to hand her the book after realizing that he was still holding onto it, well that apparently was what happened when he got distracted by a good conversation. "I've been sketching since.. I was 7, I taught myself in my spare time which was a little frustrating but in the end it was worth it since now I can take a scene and draw it out, making it look like it was a photograph." That definitely was something that never ceased to impress him.
