"Wow. You really weren't kidding, huh?" he asked with a nervous laugh. He stayed silent for a moment, lost in worry as he shifted back and forth on his toes. Christopher was beginning to be very worried. He knew she was sheltered, but this was a whole new meaning. What if her parents thought he wasn't good enough for or her or always in too much trouble and made Violet break up with him? What if they hated him and wouldn't ever let her come to the Skylar's or let him visit her in her gigantic city-house. What if Violet thought he was using her for her money or thought he'd never be able to provide for her or something like that that girls worried about?! Oh gosh. Now he was scared.

As he snapped out of his thoughts, he blushed, realizing how he'd been acting just as they'd feared he would. "Oh. Right. Sorry."
