Why had she chose a boy to change into? Because she was Mia and that was probably answer enough. She shrugged her shoulders again. "Well I figured changing a different girl wasn't going to be much of a challenge." That wasn't strictly true. She just wanted to see what it was like to be a boy. As for Carter's love life..."Well I ran into his ex-girlfriend, only I didn't know they had broken up and she kinda asked for his forgiveness and she said she wished she could take it back and...well I told her that all was forgotten." Apparently that had been a bad move on her part, according to Carter anyway. Pfft...Carter was just jealous that she was able to get his girlfriend back.

Eh, that sounded so weird even in her own head.

"Hey! I was using those." She poked her tongue out at him again and then looked out over the side of the carriage. She somehow didn't think she would like to sit on the ride for that many hours. "Oh look Nik. It's your favourite part of the carnival." She pointed her finger to a stall down below. "The food stall."
"Of course I know where I want to go." The problem was that he couldn't pick only one of those places. He wanted to go everywhere. That was why he liked it better when Mia picked, he didn't have to make that difficult decision. It was Nikolai's turn to raise his eyebrows; they tried romantic, it never worked out well. He'd just have to think about it. Until then.. "Two years? Merlin. No wonder why I'm tired of you." he teased her right back.

She should know well enough that would never happen.

Right. He should have expected an answer like that from Mia. Although, he thought there was more than just wanting the challenge. But he decided he didn't want to hear it, so he didn't ask. He couldn't help but laugh as she explain how she ruined the boy's love life. "He should have told you who to avoid, don't you think?" So really, it wasn't her fault. Plus, Nikolai thought she could do no wrong anyhow.

He grinned over at her and gazed through the goggles a moment longer before handing them back to her. They still weren't that high up yet, and he'd rather use his own eyes to take in the sights. Or.. he'd rather see them up close with his own eyes. He chuckled when Mia mentioned his favorite part of the carnival, and he leaned over her to look down. They really should have stopped to eat first. "Did you see how big all the food was? We could probably share and still get full." Hint, hint.
