Carnivals. They reminded her of the childhood lost once Marie's dad passed away. She remembered herself inside the rollercoaster rides, or at the face painting booth, and maybe throwing a couple of balls against the dunk tank. She shook her head. Those memories had to go away, once and for all, or they would be...terrifying her the rest of her life.
Anyways, she was hungry. Shopping for supplies was definitely the most energy consuming activity. Once in front, she ordered a slice of pizza and a cup of butterbeer, paid for it and went to sit to a place nearby. Because she was a hungry person...and who knows, she might not eat a single thing for the rest of the afternoon.
Harlow was lost and everyone was tall and she couldn't see a thing.She didn't like crowds. THey scared her, but she wanted to go to the carnival and she was alone and she thought she could handle it.
Harlow was trying to hold everything together. She was a big girl after all. Big girls didn't panic and they sure didn't cry.
She scrambled over to a bench and hastily sat down to collect herself and see if she could find a way out. She heard a noise and her head snapped up.
"Oh forgive me," she told the girl as she placed her hand over her heart to catch her breath.
She began to relax.
"I didn't mean to intrude on your mealtime?" she said softly once her heart had slowed down.
