Wow. That had come out sounding much more miserable than Adam had intended. He couldn't think of a way to make it sound better than it came out, so he chose to just let the words drop there. He thought he might have detected a bit of disappointment in her eyes, but Adam could tell it wasn't anything wrong with him. One can't chose who their heart loves...well, at least that's what he'd heard lovestruck people at his school say.

"I'm glad we're getting along as well," Adam said with another little grin. "It'll be nice having someone I'm comfortable with there. Maybe it will make the whole new school thing seem a little less overwhelming." So, Louisa did want to see him again. Well...that was definitely something. Instinctively, Adam turned his eyes aware from her when she changed her glance to the trash bin. In numerous ways Adam thought he would like a girl like Louisa to look at him as something more, but a nagging feeling in the back of his mind told him to try and shut that down. Well...at least for now because Adam didn't know who Dallin was, but he knew he couldn't be Dallin for Louisa.

She was very glad that he agreed with most of what she said. His two words though 'alone and quiet' echoed in her head a lot as she kept her gaze off him for a bit longer. If people hadn't implied them being together, she would've reacted a bit more freely but not this time. Instead, she leaned her elbows on the table and smiled, "You're not alone anymore. I'm going to introduce you to most of my friends and you'll start off with a bunch of people already," It was a payback to what he did back there at the coaster.

Putting a hand under her chin and beaming again at him, she started a new subject, "So I know you have muggle family but who's in the family? Any brothers and sisters?" Probably not since he was all alone and this quiet.
